From spooky library bashes to community trunk-or-treats, local organizations are hosting events perfect for families and youth of all abilities. Dress up, enjoy the festivities, and connect with your neighbors while celebrating safely from Tuesday, October 28 through Saturday, November 1, 2025.


Jersey City Free Public Library Foundation: “Library of Shadows: A Halloween Bash”

Date: Friday, October 31, 2025

Details: A spooky celebration benefiting the library’s programs, featuring costume contests, games, and more. Early bird tickets available.

Historic Downtown Jersey City Halloween Family Bash

Date: Friday, October 31, 2025

Time: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Location: Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall & Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ

Details: Corn maze, games, candy, a bounce house, and fun for families of all ages.



Park or Treat with Porter Park

Location: 2 Harrison Avenue, Montclair

Date & Time: October 31, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Details: Friends of Porter Park are hosting community trick-or-treating in the park. Volunteers welcome ! 



Infant Halloween Party

Location: 113 Walnut Street, Montclair

Date & Time: October 31, 12:15 PM – 1:30 PM

Details: Register your little one (0–12 months) for this free baby costume party and photo op.



Ocean City Halloween Parade

Date & Time: October 30, 7:15 PM

Location: Asbury Avenue from 6th to 11th Streets, Ocean City, NJ

Details: A long-standing Ocean City tradition featuring creative costumes, themed floats, marching bands, and festive fall fun for the whole  family.  


Halloween Office Trick or Treat 

Date & Time: October 29, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Location: 342 Atlantic Blvd, Beachwood, NJ 08722

Details: The Children's Home Society of NJ is hosting music, spooky sensory play, best costume prizes, and a ice cream sundae bar!
 

Annual Toms River Halloween Parade

Date & Time: October 31, 7:00 PM

Location: Starts at Toms River Center (Main Street and Route 37), proceeding south on Main Street, east on Washington Street, and ending at Hooper Avenue.

Details: Reported to be the second-largest parade of its kind in the world! Enjoy elaborate floats and Halloween-themed attractions. Arrive early—many attendees set up chairs two hours before start time.
