Creativity is all about using unique and imaginative ways to create something physical like artwork, or something non-physical, such as an idea or solution. Different people have different levels of creativity, but all of us have, at some point or another, have had trouble finding a creative "spark" that we need. Thanks to this week's resources, we think we've found a way to rekindle that spark.
Creativity is important for everyone, particularly those that like to problem-solve, as well as those who like to create new works of art. In this YouTube video from creator Teo Studies, he goes over multiple ways to build up creativity over time. TS also describes how there can be multiple ways to approach a situation, and the most obvious or straightforward method isn't always the best. Rather, sometimes, stepping back and looking at it from another angle can show you the best solution.
Why Is Creativity Important and What Does It Contribute
There are many small but impactful benefits to learning creativity. The National Youth Council Of Ireland's website made a post detailing the great things being creative can offer you, including freeing your mind, connecting to your inner self, and bringing yourself closer to friends and family. These are but a few of the many rewards a creative life can offer.
Authors and writers, no matter the genre they write, use the creative process constantly, as it inspires them to complete their work in new and fascinating ways. On the website Penguin.co.uk, author and artist Anthony Burrell details 10 great tips for others to find inspiration to be creative. These tips range from changing daily routines to being resourceful to just keeping your phone at arm's length, unless you absolutely need it. These tips should allow you to not only start thinking creatively, but if you ever lose that momentum, these tips are also great reminders to get you back on track.
