Healthy Habits Featuring Know Your Rights Webinar

Good and Bad Habits

A good habit is a regular practice that benefits one’s body, mind, or emotions. Such habits support achieving goals, self-improvement, and a better quality of life. They typically align with personal values and contribute to health, productivity, and balance.

Know Your Rights - A Webinar for Older Adults, Caregivers, and Individuals with Disabilities

Congressman Kim's office recently hosted a webinar focused on advancing civil rights for the disability community and addressing the needs of aging New Jerseyans. The event, organized in collaboration with Disability Rights New Jersey and other organizations, covered key topics such as voting rights, nonpartisan voting resources, and ADA regulations. The following topics were discussed:

  • Voting Methods: Various ways to vote and strategies to overcome voting barriers.
  • Voting Rights and Options: Information for individuals in long-term care facilities, group homes, and those with cognitive issues.
  • Caregiver Assistance in Voting: Guidelines on permissible assistance in voting booths and support for mail-in voting.
  • Understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): ADA requirements and steps to take if a building does not comply with ADA regulations.
