Procrastination can be a minor problem for some but is often a source of stress and anxiety. Find out how to avoid procrastination or putting something off until the last minute. And when procrastinating becomes a symptom of a more significant problem such as low confidence, anxiety, depression, and more.

GoodTherapy is a mental health resource hub with information on professionals who provide these services. The webpage Procrastination answers what is, causes, the effects, and how to stop the "self-defeating behavior." Notably, the health consequences of procrastination if it occurs too often in one's life.

CalPoly-Procrastination

The California Polytechnic State University, CalPoly, provides the traits of procrastination. These traits are low self-confidence, frustration, and stubbornness. The webpage goes a step forward to explain the benefits of overcoming procrastination, like peace of mind and a feeling of accomplishment.

Another excellent resource is the 'Procrastination Self-Check' on the Lumen Learning webpage, College Success. Check out the procrastination checklist and a helpful list of challenges and solutions to help you overcome putting something off. Bring in a family or friend to help with the activities or do the self-assessment to determine if you are a procrastinator.

Check out Tim Urban's TED Talk on the web page, a self-proclaimed "master" procrastinator. He talks about his personal battle with procrastination and how he learned to work around it.
