Tools For Life

Tools have been used to solve issues for centuries. We use them to fix and improve houses, cars, computers, and more. Yet, life isn't physical like a house or car, so a hammer or saw won't solve problems in life. So what do we use? Those tools come in the form of resources. The counseling website KidsHelpline has a wide variety of resources and activities for anyone aged 5-25. The site also includes forms of counseling for those aged 5-25 like discussing mental health breaks, reading challenges, and sharing stories. There is even a post talking about how returning to normal life might not be so easy for everyone.

KidsHelpline

The KidsHelpline website is a resource library for youth and young adults, ages 5-25. The site includes many tips, activities, resources, and tools on important parts of life. Scroll and discover the websites under your age, and find sections on self-care, mental health, family, physical health, and more. There is even a section of life resources for parents. Please know that the website is a 24/7 helpline for residents in Australia, but all other resources are general information.

Announcement...

The SPAN Youth Chat will return on September 1st. All youth and young adults (past or present attendees) will receive an email with a poll. This poll will collect information on preferred times to host the youth chats for the upcoming Fall season. Thank you for your continuous support.

Stronger Together: Finding Strength in Shared Journeys, featuring Growing Up Online

There’s something really special about talking to someone who has gone through the same things you have. They understand in a way that others might not, because they’ve lived it too. When people with similar life experiences support each other, it can make a big difference. It helps you feel less alone, gives you hope, and often brings helpful advice that comes from real experience. Whether it’s dealing with a disability, mental health, or big life changes, support from someone who “gets it” can truly change your life.

Summer Bonds That Last Beyond the Season, featuring Waze To Adulthood

Summer is a great time to spend more time with friends and even make new ones. Without school, homework, and busy schedules, you have more freedom to hang out and do fun things together. You could go to the beach, have a picnic in the park, or just sit outside on a warm evening talking and laughing. The long days and warm weather make it easier to enjoy each other’s company and grow closer as friends.
