"There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.” – Jiddu Krishnamurti
We are never done learning, but how we learn is different for everyone. And there is a tool to help you find your learning style. As featured in the chat with a short video overview on "Discover Your Learning Style."
In the video, "Discover Your Learning Style," there are four styles that are taught. For example, visual learners prefer drawings, posters, or any visual media to help them learn.
Auditory learners prefer listening and hearing information to learn. They work better in groups and benefit from recorded lectures or audiobooks. (NOTE: recording any lectures or lessons in school require asking for permission).
Reading and writing learners use the traditional study method of taking notes. They remember information easier if it is written down or typed out compared to the audio or visual tools.
Kinesthetic or tactile learning is a hands-on approach learning style. These learners prefer physical activities rather than sitting down and listening to new information.
If you do not know your learning style or maybe you are a combination of two or three of them. Then take the exam, "What's Your Learning Style?" A 20-question exam to help you learn your learning style. Take a few minutes to complete it (link under resources below) and share it with friends and family.
What is your learning style? Do you agree with the exam's answer? Let us know in the comment section below! Don't forget to join the SPAN youth chats, weekly on Weds., at 3-3:30 PM via Zoom, share with youth or young adults up to age 26!
